Dried Goods & Noodles
Rice-flour bihon, wheat egg-noodle canton, mung-bean sotanghon and handy instant noodles. The dried noodles behind pancit, the Philippines’ noodle dishes, together with dried goods such as mung beans.
Overview / このカテゴリについて
Long noodles,
for a long life.
In the Philippines, noodle dishes are collectively called pancit. The noodle culture brought by Chinese immigrants merged with local ingredients and flavors, giving rise to countless regional and family varieties: pancit bihon, stir-fried rice-flour noodles; pancit canton, made with wheat egg noodles; sotanghon, mung-bean glass noodles; and more. Eating long noodles at birthdays and celebrations, with a wish for long life, is a custom uniquely Filipino.
Because the name of the pancit changes with the noodle, an authentic plate needs exactly the right one. Alongside dried bihon, canton, sotanghon and misua, and the instant noodles that are a merienda staple, we carry dried goods such as the mung beans used in ginisang munggo. From household bulk buying to case-lot sourcing for stores and restaurants, we can advise according to your needs.
