Its signatures are evaporated milk (unsweetened) and condensed milk (sweetened). In the Philippines it goes into coffee, the shaved-ice dessert halo-halo, the custard leche flan, and all kinds of baking: the supporting player behind sweet, rich flavors. Familiar from the “Alaska Boy” on the can, it has no connection with the U.S. state of Alaska. In every household cupboard, a milk rooted in everyday life.
Sweet memories usually spill from this can.
